Action Research Plan



Action Research Plan (Classroom Management)
Goal: To help students stay in their classrooms and out of the office by focusing and engaging  more on good teaching practices and differential instruction.

1. Generate a report

This will help me pick the 4 classes that will be chosen for my action research plan.
2. Research Literature and conference with the four classroom teachers.

Using referrals, discuss differential instruction and best practices for classroom management.
3.  Teachers practice the new strategies in their classrooms.

This will give them insight on what’s working and what’s not working in their classrooms.
4. Observe teacher and student interaction in all four classes

Evaluation forms using PDAS and TL21
Using PDAS and TL21 write up  an evaluation on each class.
5. Meet with teachers for the second time.







6. Reevaluate the research plan with the teachers.

Meet with them again and go over the pros and cons of the classroom management that we have in place.



Look at the percentage of referral reduction. Also look at the content of the referrals and what strategies could have been used.
